Tonkatsu

One of the first things I ever learned to fry. My health has never recovered. Also basically Schnitzel.

Ingredients

port chops - bone out
brown sugar
soy sauce
salt & black pepper
flour
eggs, whisked
splash of milk
panko
peanut oil
katsu sauce and/or sweet chili sauce

Directions

Heat up a pan with about 1-2 inches of oil. Check the temp by using the panko. Use a meat tenderizer to stamp your meat down to about 1 inch thick then season with pepper, salt, a little brown sugar, and some splashes of soy sauce. Now dredge the meat in flour and cover it with your wisked eggs and liberal amounts of panko. Cook ~2mins each side or until golden brown. This should cook the pork to about well done. If not, well its okay if it's cooked at medium temperatures. Let it cool a few mins, slice, cover with the sauce of your choice and serve over a bed a rice!
